MOROCCO | ALÉMAIS x ECO TAN
I was invited by ECO by SONYA to attend the ALÉMAIS Resort ‘26 fashion show in Marrakech, where they were the official makeup & skincare sponsor. The night was an absolute dream — filled with fashion, beauty, incredible food and the most inspiring people.
The journey began in London, where I met up with Charlotte from Eco by Sonya. From there, we flew to Marrakech, Morocco. A car picked us up from the airport and drove us through the heart of the city, dropping us at the edge of the Medina — the historic, walled center of Marrakech, known for its narrow, winding streets and vibrant souks. We followed a tout-tout man through the maze, our luggage in his wheelbarrow, until we reached our riad — the serene and charming Riad Brummell Medina, a traditional Moroccan home built around a central courtyard.
On the day of the show, we started with a Moroccan breakfast before heading to the Marrakech Museum of Culinary Arts, the venue for the event. We delivered Eco by Sonya products for the makeup artists and models and got a behind-the-scenes look at all the magic coming together.
After lunch at a little spot nearby, we returned to our riad to get ready. By the time we arrived back at the venue, everything had been completely transformed — the energy was pure magic.
Alémais’ Resort ‘26 collection was stunning. Charlotte and I were in awe of the fabrics, silhouettes and prints — each piece was thoughtfully crafted, and the entire collection came together beautifully. Every detail was perfection.
After the show, we were treated to hors d'oeuvres and live traditional Moroccan music. Just when we thought the night couldn’t get any more magical, we were surprised with an al fresco dinner in the courtyard — a thoughtfully curated menu featuring classic Moroccan dishes. It was the perfect end to an unforgettable evening.
It truly was the trip of a lifetime — an experience I’ll always cherish and hold close to my heart.
