CALIFORNIA DREAMIN

We had such an amazing time being back in Cali this past weekend (even if it was only for 48 hours-ish). This trip was waaay too short, but we took advantage of every moment and thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and nature. The ocean was spectacular and the food was oh so ono (which means delicious in Hawaiian).

It was my husband’s birthday on November 18th and this was his big present. We stayed with my cousins and had Paul’s birthday dinner at the Santa Barbara Ritz-Carlton, which was magical and the food incredible. I also loved being back on the West Coast near the Pacific Ocean again.

I always feel the most inspired when I travel. For the past few months (since our Hawaiʻi trip in June) I have really struggled creatively. I am very sensitive to my environment and have to seek out my inspiration to keep motivated. Although, I am a homebody, I also crave adventure and change. So traveling is the best way for me to recharge and refresh! This quick trip to Southern California was so much fun, however I definitely didn’t feel like I had time to acclimate and fully immerse myself into the experience. I really love savoring the moments and taking it all in, but this trip was so quick I found myself feeling rushed to collect the memories. We’ll definitely be doing things differently next time (lol). At least we made the most of it and I took as many photos as I could with the limited time we had. California will always hold a special place in my heart, so I look forward to our next visit…
